Smells, dust and pollution is discussed in the Global Lab podcast on Dirty City.
For the podcast I interviewed a researcher and artist Kate McLean about her work on mapping smells in urban environments. Kate has conducted smell walks and mapped smells all around the world from Singapore to Glasgow, and creates beautiful and innovative visual representations of the sensed smells. Check out her visualisations on her Sensory Maps website.
The podcast also features Jay Owens who explores the social history of dust, and Anna Mavrogianni who talks about the dirty dangers lurking within and without our homes.
